I'm averaging around 19mpg (hand calc) over the last 32,000 miles. Been a 20/80 mix of city/hwy. Anyone else actually logging their mileage over time? Been logging mine since i got the car in July 07.
Best tank ever was 23.6mpg over 14.427 gallons. Worst was 14.4mpg over 12.976 gallons.

Staggolee did the K&N intake improve your mileage at all or just your performance? They claim a 7 hp gain with the dynograph on their website.
I think it's safe to say that the intake gave me about 2-3 extra MPG's and smoother acceleration. I don't know how much more raw power it really gave me, I guess 5-7 hp might be fair. Honestly, I'm not sure if I would've paid the full $300 for it. I got it for $75 from a man who was getting an X-Charger installed and that seems very fair. I definitely don't regret it especially since I've heard that when I get a tune for it I will have no noticeable difference in gains as someone who had an intake that requires a tune, so I still saved a couple hundred for the same performance. Plus I already have the great sucking sound of the air, and that's about worth the $75 by itself

Yeah, i mean take it with a grain of salt, I am still just some guy on the internet after all. But I dont think I ever went up to 24 mpg without it and now my mpg never goes under about 21. But keep in mind if you ever want to get a tune it might be more cost effective to buy it all together as a combo, I just hopped on mine because he was selling it so cheap.

I usually average between 25-26mpg, mostly highway driving. Best ever was just under 29mpg on a roadtrip, worst ever was 22mpg driving around the LA area.
I get 18 mpg(consistently)around town and a best ever of 29.1 highway. With the car set up with the 3.55s my best is now 27.6 mpg. The cai & tune didn't help my around town gas mileage one bit but it really improved acceleration & highway gas mileage. My best highway mileage before the cai & tune was 24.6 mpg.

You can't compare city driving to highway. My GT gets over 23 MPG hand calculated (my onboard computer typically reads 1-2 MPG high) cruising steady at 70 MPH. Around town it drops into the teens and I'm usually driving fairly mellow. My g/f's V6 gets a little better but not much, maybe 2 MPG better. The variables are so many that you'll rarely get the same value at each fillup no matter how hard you try.
Only reset the onboard computer each time you fill-up or else you're not getting a true gas mileage value.
