Default Whats the Best 05+ Exaust for a V6?

I have a 2006 v6 and I wanna give it some pep in its step.. I want to get a better exaust, headers, a spacer, and an air filter. But I wanna start with the exaust. Which one is considered the best to get for a V6? Also if you have any better ideas to modd go ahead

This topic is covered multiple times a day. Please read this:

Your question is very vague. Every person will give you a different answer, and will probably recomend their own exhaust. You can either stay with a single axleback exhaust or go cat-back duals, the differance in gains is negligible at best. having had both, I'd recomend duals off the bat, as most eventually run them eventually and it will look much better. There are countless options to choose from, try looking at some of the vendor's links on the right and see what fits your liking.

It all depends on how much you want to spend.

Intake: DeMolet, JLT, C&L

Tuner: SCT X3

Tune: Bamachips or Brenspeed (unless you get the DeMolet intake, then get it from DeMolet)

Exhaust: IMO best performance for price is a GT take off setup. Ur 6’s don’t need a crazy awesome expensive exhaust. Make sure you use a X-Pipe not an H

Headers: Long tubes are the best for performance and cost the most. You won’t see that much more of a gain with those over shorty headers. If you get long tube they cost twice as much, you have to relocate your catalytic convertors, buy O2 sensor extensions, and shorten your exhaust (unless you do the exhaust and headers at the same time). For brand, JBA is always trusted and always more expensive. I don’t think you’ll see any more or less if you buy OBX headers. Ceramic coating is preferred.

Spacer: Don’t waste your time.

Gears: low cost buy some Richmond 3.73 (or 4.10’s if you think that you need that much, not recommended) gears with the install kit (prolly $300 total with shipping). More expensive, buy a GT take off rear end. Its 8.8” vs our 7.5” and comes stock with 3.55 gears. $1000 total

These topics come up every day, search is your friend.
