That CS6 vid - guy has the camera too close to get a good idea of the sound. I hate when people do that, it's hard enough to get an idea from a video clip on teh interwebz

I just love the knuckleheads that come here and say "I've never heard a good sounding v6", way to add to the tread. Some day oh yes....some day we can only hope to be as cool as that..../sarcasm.

In order to truley experience the power and sound of the v8, you have to compare it to all the slowest, worst sounding v6 mustangs.

I got a single boomtube axle back exhaust on my sixer. I think it sounds good. Nice deep rumble to it. Don't have any vids but heres one.

I have Roush exhaust on my sixxer and I like the way it sounds.... Does it sound like a GT....? No, but it still sounds tough IMO.

Its Simple for me....If I wanted an exhaust to sound like a GT, I would have bought a GT. I bought the V6 Vert because.....I wanted too, not because I was "stuck with it". Now that being said, the MT single takeoff muffler I have on the car makes it sound 100% better than the stock one did. Breaths better and gets me a few extra ponies to boot.

The Ford 4.0L V6 can sound PLENTY good, whatever some "experts" may feel, and it certainly doesn't need to sound like a V8 in order to do so.

I've had guys in exotics such as Ferrari's comment positively and ask what exhaust setup I was running on my Pony, so if some insecure dolt who happens to own a V8 'stang doesn't get it that the number of cylinders isn't the be all/end all of Mustang existence, well, I guess I can live with that...

I just got some Flowmasters 40 Series put on, and I have to say that it really sounds good, I love it. Doesn't sound like a tuner to me at all. It also has a deep rumble and it really loud from the inside, but it's all good with me. I have an AFE intake and Diablo Sport Tune with 93 octane tune. I don't regret not getting dual because I really like the sound. I don't have any videos, but will try to put some up in the future. I only have a camera phone with video, but probably bad quality. Perhaps it sounds better in person than through video. That's just my two cents.

I am guessing that you've never heard a worked GNX at full song then...

Anyway, my brother just bought a used 'vert with a "buzzin half dozen" under the hood... Has an X pipe and a set of GTA's that the first owner put on it and it sounds damn good. Closer to an Exotic than a muscle car, but still has a real good note to it and definately not ricey. He's thinking about swapping to a set of GTB's at some point, just to see what happens.
