I believe what's being said here is that, IF you're going to go to the trouble of swapping muffs, then it behooves you to use a GT takeoff from a manual for more sound compared to the automatic (and possibly an extra pony or 2).
Ya' gotta learn to deal with (a.k.a. ignore, when necessary) the sarcasm.

I don't know what the AT takeoff sounds like, but I just put the MT takeoff on our 05 V6 Vert yesterday, and my gawd what a difference. I fricking love it. Harkens back to the 283 and 289 V'8s sound of the past. I can feel a bit of extra ponies in the seat of my pants, not sure how many....I have heard 5-10 but would just have to assume that is right. No drone whatsoever at highway speed. Only thing I have going now is a bit of an off center tip in the bumper cuttout. Depends how anal I am whether I try and tweek it any more.
I live in the same town where Newtakeoffs.com is located. Bad Bad Bad thing! No shipping and all I pay is IN sales tax. Cory is a lot of help in getting the right direction, plus the "project car" thats on the web videos is in the lot for some first hand inspection of the different mods. I may have to move before I go broke!!!
since this forum is still going.........how far out is the exhaust supposed to stick out(like in inches from the body of the car)? like it look like it is sticking really far out but i know i put it on the midpipe as far as it would let me i think....can someone take a pic of where the midpipe meets the gt takeoff exhaust...

Loosen the midpipe and axleback clamps to adjust the clearance/positioning in the cutout.
You the Man! Worked like a flipping charm. Loosened up the mid pipe joint, then loosened up the axle back joint and it just dropped and rotated into the center of the cutout. Centered side to side with about 1/4" top clearance to the cutout. Tightened up the joints and called it done!
Did mine in an hour, old bolt rusted together and I used an impact hammer to get it off. put it on without jacking or any help other than a flat driveway. lined up perfectly the first time and then bolted it tight. Removed the third hanger bracket for some weight savings (prolly like 12 seconds off my quarter). Sound is way better and I noticed a huge difference at highway speeds. Really shows how restrictive the stock muffler is at high speeds. above is my clearance
