Default Rear defroster

I just purchased a 2008 Mustang v6 2 weeks ago. Tonight it was raining and I turned on my rear defroster and only one line on the bottom seem to work, and only a few on the top the middle did not seem to be working at all. Also the rear defroster did not turn itself off as they have in every car I have ever owned. It has 26,000 miles on it, Will this be covered by the warranty? Thanks in advance, Loving the car and this is a great site!

Check to see if the contact points on the glass are broken. Maybe the car's windows were tinted, and the seller removed it and damaged the conductive material that makes up the defroster. If there is damage, then the dealer will mot likely not repair it under warranty, but if there is a defect you might get it covered.

I'd definitely have the dealer check it out under warranty. If he wants you to continue being a Ford customer, he'll do you right. Just don't take no for an answer. There are other dealers out there willing to work with you (believe it or not).
