Got my 8.8" from a friendly vendor at Mustang Collective, Paulboy. About $800 after shipping for the entire assembly: t-lok, axles, cobra flange, and 3.55 gears.
Didn't realize I had to retune the car for 3.55 gears though. Driving on the fwy going 95mph and barely sneaking past people? Yeah right! Gotta find my xcal II.

It is a direct swap other than the pinion flange, same springs etc. - and in the long run it is cheaper to upgrade to the 8.8 than to build the 7.5 unless you can do the gear and tlok install yourself.

I am still trying to decide between doing gear/t-lok upgrade to my 7.5 or get an 8.8 take off.
My question is, does using an 8.8 mean I also need to change my rear springs to gt rear springs???
No you dont change the springs.
You are changing the unsprung weight of the 7.5 to the heavier
8.8 and slightly increased unsprung weight does not require
the stiffer GT springs/shocks.
Google 'sprung / unsprung' weight.
