The mounting holes that were used in my CAI on my 09 aren't the same as the 2010. I really don't see the CAI makers creating 2010 specific parts with a new engine lineup coming next year. we might be able to fab a 05-09 part and make it "work" but I don't see them creating parts for a single model year with a limited audience. Just my .02

makes ya wonder why people are buying the 10s when the same car with a more powerfull engine lineup is coming out a year later?

Kinda like why would you buy a V6 then drop a few grand into apperence packaging, dual exhuast and intakes and such, when you could have put that on the price differnece to get a GT

cause all i have on my v6 is duals? i dont think i could have gotten a GT for 500 bucks more than i paid for mine. unless it had like 75k miles on it lol
lets see 20k plus for one car or wait a year and pay 20k plus for the same looking car with a better engine

Where can I get the specs for the 011?
Nevermind. I Yahoo'd it and found more than enough info. It seems like the 010 just came out. I've been tossing the idea of modding my 4.0 or upgrading to GT. Just can't justify the GT cost right now, but now I'll think I'll hold off until the 011 comes to market.
It sounds to me like everyone is trying to re-invent the wheel when this has been covered a million times already.
No a tuner won't void your warranty. But do some research before taking it in for service.
The DeMolet CAI is not the top of the line CAI. Every site will advertise that theirs has the "most gains" etc etc.
Go look up a reputable tuner such as bamachips, brenspeed, evo etc. Bama and Brenspeed are highly recommend among the S197 community, and they both offer C&L CAI's which are also highly recommended.
That is debatable.... To be honest, most CAIs are basically the same. The tune is where it really matters. If you took 3 different CAIs and set them side by side they are basically the same concepts. There are the most popular ones (Bama, Brenspeed, etc.), and there are others (DeMolet). If you feel more comfortable buying one because of their name and the popularity of it there's nothing wrong with that. But, the "reputability" most of the time comes from the "name brand" you're buying.

Man, you guys are making me sound like a DeMolet rep here...... The CAI I got from DeMolet is made for the 2010, so all of the holes line up perfectly. The only thing that really has to line up with holes is the heat shield.

Don't worry about liking what you have. I would swear by C&L cai and Bama tunes, because that is what I have and I love it.
The CAI is really personal preference, all the main ones are about the same. As far as the tunes go, all you can do if ask people what they like and go from there. You aren't gonna be able to compare tunes without actually comparing them to each other first hand. With the tune writters like Bama and Brenspeed and others, you get multiple tunes all on the same tuner. I think you only get one tune from the FR tuner. So you can get (for example) 93 race, 91 performance, 87 performance. Then you have which ever tune suites the driving or mood you are in that day. They take less than 5 minutes to change between tunes.
Use the search feature to get MANY threads about this, that way you'll get a lot of input from many sources and make your own desicion.
