Default Supercharger or turbo?

I have a V6 mustang and i have been looking into ways to give it that extra kick I'd like. So i started looking at turbos and superchargers. I've talked about it with a few friends and some pull towards super charger and the others pull for turbo being that its a V6.
So if anyone can lend me a hand here in deciding which way to get more power even if it's not the supercharger or turbo.

If the goal is simply "more power" either will work.

My personal preference is supercharging, especially the positive diplacement type, but in the end, they both get the job done.

a supercharger could be cheaper, easier to install and maintain. but i think a good turbo would cost a little more, but be a little more tricky to maintain.

Differences come into the decision regarding mainly installation and initial cost. Maintenance should me minimal.
But mainly, how and where you'd use the extra power and why are important as well. If you want to for mostly drag racing, then turbo is better.
Supercharger setups are generally lower in cost to obtain and easier to install, and installation can be done by most moderately-capable weekend mechanics.

Another option is the x-charger. It's very popular with the v6 crowd as it is easiest to install.

Whatever you do, make sure your car is set up to handle the power, including a good custom tune for the blower.

It will put a BIG smile on your face

think compound boost IDK if you can use it with a v6 but it rocks my dads 5.0 v8.

Both will do the job. supercharger is cheaper and easier to maintain. My car was supercharged, and now I have an all motor car that will beat the old supercharger setup hands down.
I agree with the other guys, make sure you build the motor to handle the added power, if not you will have alot of problems. I have a hole in a Piston to prove it.
good luck with your build.

first off... research the characteristics of each setup. then decide which characteristics you lean towards. that should help give you a better base of which questions to ask and which setup better fits your intentions.
