i guess location is a major factor. as was mentioned, 8.8 is a no-brainer in some situations.

7.5.... got a great shop nearby and labor costs were very reasonable. when the time comes that i need a stronger rear, i'll just get a better posi.

if you are certain that you will add big power, just cut the crap and get the 8.8... if you want to be a little creative and overall cost is not that critical to you, upgrade your 7.5 with gears of your choice (preferably 3.73 or 4.10) and spend the cash on a strong posi. end result should be stronger than a stock 8.8 and lighter.

Hey, we need somebody to buy an auburn posi for the 7.5 and review it for us!!! I think they are at least twice the price of the t-lok.

What is the stronger posi for the 7.5 that would make it stronger then the 8.8?

haha - I just did mine with the T-lok, so I won't be opening it up for a while. So far gears are sounding quiet too...

We have to find another ginea pig??

2010V6 - I was curious and looked at auburn posi's for the 7.5 last night - they make several - with the high end one being about $500 - I would say that unit would meet the requirements!!!

I didn't even know Auburn made one for the 7.5, I was looking at Detroit Truetrac for a possible swap if I decide to keep the stock rear. Does anybody know which one is stronger?
