I'm on my second set of Pirelli PZeros. My first set lasted I think 55k(give or take a couple of thousand) and they still had about 10k left when I sold them. The buyer couldn't believe how much tread was left for the miles on them.

The only bad I've noticed is heavy rain and they like to hydroplane. I've had great traction in the snow with them.

When it comes time for me again, I'll either look for another set of takeoffs or just buy brand new PZeros from the tire store.

They arent. I bought my new sheels as sort of a whim and they 215 Pirel;li all seasons were cheap and in stock. I believe the factory 17s were 235s

I was more than satisfied with my Pirelli P-zeros. I turned my car into a garage queen and switched to dedicated track wheels, but I still have the factory rims and tires. If you're really interested in another set of P-zeros, I'm selling a set of 4 with rims for less than you'd pay for just the four tires. See my sig for details.

Maybe I just got some magically bad tires because I have had this car since may and the pzeros have never had good traction. They are easy to break loose even for a v6. I have a TERRIBLE, nearly dangerous lack of traction in the rain, and in the snow I can't move. If I go over 35 in the snow I start drifting all over the place. And of course stopping distance in the rain and snow is horrendous.

If you go over 35mph in the snow in a rwd car, no tire is going to save you.

Take a look at your tires and I'll bet you're close to the low tread indicators. You should seriously consider at least getting 2 new ones on the rear and then in spring get 2 for the front

For my daily driver tires I am running the Kumho Ecsta ASX 255/50R17. They are by far superior to the Pirelli PZero Nero M&S 235/55R17 that came on my Mustang from the factory. The Kumhos get better traction in all weather conditions, ride quieter, ride smoother, balance better and last longer. I am on my second set of them after getting 47,000 miles from the first set and I am by no means easy on the tires.

Also to 255/50R17 is the same diameter as the 235/55R17 so you get a little more rubber on the ground and don't have to make any speedometer adjustments.

Not trying to lecture but please take this seriously. You're riding on slicks! You have the safety of not only yourself but any passenger(s) and others riding on the road around you.

Here is a less expensive posibility http://columbus.craigslist.org/pts/2097710869.html

Keep checking craigslist or there are several used tires places around or even pick-n-pull or any of the other junk yards around. Get at least those 2 rear tires replace. I would hate to see your next post be "here is my wrecked stang".
