i recently installed 8.8 rear end with 3.73 gears and tlok on my 2006 mustang v6 and paid 1100 for the rear end with installation... my question is did i pay too much?? btw i paid 900 for the rear axle itself and 200 for labor... was that to much?

seems about right, maybe a tad high. Was it down correctly? if so then dont worry about it and enjoy it

it was done correctly and i do enjoy it the only reason i ask is cause a friend of mine just got his installed parts and labor for 900.00 and wanted to know if it was the labor that i got screwed on?? how much is labor generally on installing the rear axle?

If you're happy with the results, don't sweat it. The bottom line is that you got the results and quality installation you wanted. Just ensure your break it in nice and easy.

Not a bad price at all. Wait. Was it used? NTO sells pretty much new ones for like 850 bucks plus shipping, and it is like 100-150 bucks to install. Of course shipping is like 200 bucks depending on where you live, but you get the point.
