It's most likely the 4.0 engine. You're feeling the far end of the torque and hp curve as it drops off. By the way its "spur" of the moment, not "spare" of the moment.

That is actually a pretty good idea in theory!... So do you turn it off then on around the 110ish mark? Or just leave 5th gear completely out of the game? How does the torque feel after this?

auto tranny issue was mentioned before I could post it. Video def helped identify it. If your tuner left the tune partially unlocked you should be able to adjust the WOT MPH at which each gear is shifted in to

it felt like more like i thought it should feel... you can feel a decrease but its more over time and not just a huge shutoff....and yea i left overdrive completly off

They probably took in to consideration that the drag from friction created in that gear at that speed wouldn't be worth it on a 1/4 and that redlining is the faster option. Explains a lot of 5th gear drag cars bogging down.

In 5th, the 4.0 doesn't have enough power to overcome drag. Keeping OD off will keep the RPM's up. Even some of the auto GT's have reported similar power fall-offs.

BTW, you might want to watch those runs into triple digits with the 4.0 and a stock DS. The OE DS's are prone to destruction over 115-120 MPH.
