Pype bomb axle back w/m-80's?
Hey everyone, new to the forum here. I have a white 2007 v6 mustang all stock and the first thing i'm going to do with it is an exhaust system. I've figured out what i want to do, and that is put the Pypes pype bomb axle back on with a GT H pipe with factory cats. Now my question is does anybody think putting on m-80 resonators will make it sound louder/mellower/deeper?. It will be another 150ish to buy and install at my muffler shop so if its not worth doing i will maybe get them put on later on down the road

it wont make it louder.
probobly a little quieter, deeper sounding since the m80's are race mufflers they will take out the high pitch tones.
if the rest of your exhaust is stock you might be ok with just the pypebombs bc the cats will mellow it out too.
the m80's might make it too quiet with the cats on there too.

im thinking i should just stick with the pype bombs and the h-pipe for now, maybe later throw them with hi-flow cats or catless

i dont have a v6, but this is my experience with M80's:
i had LT's, o/r x pipe, and boomtubes and i wanted to make it even louder.
so i switched the boomtubes for MBRP muffler deletes. that was a mistake.
it was too loud and obnoxious, and the exhaust just sounded like crap.
so i needed to tone it down a bit, but not too much bc i like it loud.
so i had a shop weld in a pair of M80's right before the rear axle, just like a homemade midmuffler setup.
i think it is just as loud as it was with the boomtubes, but it sounds better.
no more high pitched raspyness. it is a lower tone, more bass sounding, more musclecar sounding, and less like NASCAR more like NHRA.
you could go with the pypebomb at first, see how you like it.
if you need to tone it down, then add the M80's.
if you add the M80's right away it will be more difficult to take them out than it is to add them in.

these midmuffler vids sound pretty good. an h pipe will sound deeper than an x pipe.

x pipe with pypebombs. but i like the sound of it with the M80's better. h pipe will make it deeper. cats will take some of the rasp off of the sound as well. but its always sort of a crap shoot with exhaust bc listening to youtube vids is a little different than in person, but it gives you an idea of the sound.
