Average/decent price for installing a single axle-back
I own a 2005 Mustang v6, and I just bought a SLP Powerflo axle-back exhaust. How much would one say is average to get this installed professionally? I hear Meineke's is excellent, but they told me that I would have to bring the car in, and I haven't been able to yet. I went to another place a while back and they told me 125, but to me that seems high just for an axle back.
Thanks

100 bucks and they better weld like a freaking boss. And add in hangars if necessary for a huge discount.
Or ill just mount it myself with a pillow for my back and an ice tea. (I don't care if its a gay drink)

An axleback install is all bolt-on. The hanger brackets should match the stock brackets. Other than maybe having to make a few attempts at aligning the tip in the bumper cutout (by loosening exhaust clamps and doing a little wiggling of the joints), it's so simple even a caveman can do it.
Of course, since you dumped octane booster into an engine that's not tuned for higher octane, then paying someone to install your exhaust may be the better way to go.

Is it just me or does this post not make sense? I thought you could just loosen the clamp, pull the old muffler out, and clamp the new one in. Am I missing something?
100 dollars sounds high even for welding.

And when I was doing the GT takeoffs all I did was loosen the old clamp and "jiggle" out the muffler. Then new one goes on, line up hangars and tighten again. BAM. New muffler.
