Is it even worth it?

Is it even worth it?
So, as we all know due to the economy it makes things a little hard, especially when you want to buy a new car. I currently have a 2005 mustang v6 with 85,500 miles. I want to sell it and buy a GT, but unfortunately I don't have enough money to afford to do that. The car is paid off, and i'm thinking about keeping the car until my little brother starts driving, or once im able to get a loan to purchase the GT. But until then, is it worth buying aftermarket parts to soup up the car, or should I just save the money and buy the GT?
I was thinking;
C & L Intake + Bama Tuner
MAC Shorty Headers
MAC Off road X pipe
MAC Axle Backs
Custom 2 1/2 inch piping
BBK Throttle Body
Supercharger (Down the road, maybe 2 yrs from now)
and that's about it. But even then, i feel like saving that money towards the GT would be a better idea? Or can I get this 4.0L V6 to pull out more than 450HP.
I raced my friends' 3.5L V6 Infititi G37S and it's bole**** how his 3.5L V6 is pulling out 328hp and my stang can only get 220hp.. Why is this?

If you're looking for performance, the few things that'll help are:
CAI and tune (#1)
Supercharger (you'll then have 300 hp or so)
The other items on your list dont help much. A dual exhaust setup will help a little, but so will a anything-but-stock muffler.

450 HP???
It would take a lot more than just SC'ing a 4.0L. I think you need to re-examine your goals.
C & L Intake + Bama Tuner - Your main power gain for 15-20 RWHP on the V6
MAC Shorty Headers - barely worth the effort, if that; little gain
MAC Off road X pipe - again, little gain, if any
MAC Axle Backs - zero performance gain, nada, zip
Custom 2 1/2 inch piping - you're kidding, right? WHY?
BBK Throttle Body - useless unless you're SC'd and they can often be troublesome

your not gonna get that kind of hp. a few mods and a vortech will get you well into the 300`s which is pretty serious.
i pretty much have the mods you listed plus a few,( not a supercharger) but the 3.73 gears and t lok and the upr control arms help. the n/a 4.0 has alot of torque and with all the bolt ons it will get up and go enough to be fun. i`m glad i did all the mods i did and enjoyed the car so much while i paid it off, no regrets.
get just a good cai/tuner/tunes combo for around $500 and get a race tune for premium fuel, and a gt takeoff muffler and you`ll be surprised.

Is it better to mod your V6 or by a GT? That all depends on your goals, and your ability to handle it financially. A modded V6 Mustang can still perform well, but those modification typically add nothing to the overall value of the car. It's still fun to modify V6 Mustangs for better performance (we have two in our family).

As your first mod, I would highly recommend the CAI/custom tune from either AM/BAMA or Brenspeed. You will feel the most performance gain from this mod alone!
Dual exhaust are more for looks and better sound. The performance gain is minimal.
Good luck and enjoy!
