Is there anyone that makes a steel drive shaft for 4.0 v6's? Everything i could find is places that will make a custom one

Why get a steel driveshaft? I believe the stock one is already steel. Also the aluminum is more expensive because its lighter, makes a big difference too.

+1 on the aluminum. You'll gain a few RWHP due to the reduction in rotational inertia plus you reduce the risk of the chronic OE DS self-destruction at speeds over 120 MPH.

Is it worth getting aluminum shaft? Its a 600$ investment. I searched around and 4 inch ones are cheaper but they also rub in some cars. The reason i asked about steel units is because they cost less and i want a one solid piece drive shaft.

I've heard nothing but great reviews about the alum driveshafts. Less clunking, car feels and accelerates lighter, stronger etc. You get what you pay for

Just put a alum. driveshaft in mine from shaftmasters, I don't have any clunking in mine whatsoever anymore, as for performance I didn't really feel a whole lot different. When I put the v8 in my car is probably when I will be able to feel it better. Also, if you do put a driveshaft in make sure you get the pinion angle correct. The stock v6 driveshaft is 27lbs, the gt driveshaft is around 45lbs, and the aluminum I got is 19lbs.

I got the 4" shaft and I had no clearance issues whatsoever, I even have the saleen shifter and it wasn't close to rubbing on that.

Are these aluminum ones speed restricted? I hate being cautious above 100. Wow that sounds,,, reckless
