So the other day I decided to embarrass a ricer at a stop light, as Isaac going ingot to 80 and after 81 and on there was a loud constant noise like a whirring or a high pitched whine, I recently installed some lca's and wi sered ifthat vouldbe the cause. Has anyone else had this problem

Have you swapped gears? After my gear swap I get a vibration/noise after 85 mph. The only other thing I can think of is to check and make sure everything is torqued to spec on your new LCA's. Maybe something is loose and rattling a bit.

our driveshafts vibrate after a gear install. the only way to correct it is to get a one piece aluminum driveshaft. the downside is it cost 400-500. the upside is that you gain a few extra ponies from the weight reduction. how many miles do you have on your new gears? mine whined a little until i had about 1500 miles on them. now the only noise i get is the vibration at 85mph. i have taken my car up to the speed limiter with the vibration. it seems alot worse than it actually is.

I get a vibration around 80 bc when I look at the passenger seat when no one is in it it will shake pretty noticeably. and I get a low moaning sound b/w 80-84 mph. I also did a 8.8 w 3.73s but I have a suspecion I just need to rebalance my wheels before I look into a new driveshaft

My seat rattles as well, I just had a rebalance and alignment, ive had the gears for close to 1500 miles, sounds like after my turbo kit it'll be a new aluminum ds. I have noticed at around 90 it dies down

Is the noise different when you are doing 80mph and accelerating compared to doing 80mph and decelerating?
If it is different, it could be a shim error between the Ring & Pinion gears.

Im installing xcharger #218 this weekend... and I wont drive past 80 even with it... However... i will give it hell up to the speed limit

isnt that kind of like buying a jeep and putting a lift and tires on it and never going offroad? im not saying to speed everywhere, but are you at lest gonna go to a drag strip and see what the car can do with the xcharger?
