I just gave in and tried this stuff myself. It's pretty neat!

OP -, A faux deck lid panel would look good on the lime green I think, I did mine in 20 minutes. Yeah, dip the rims as well. The best thing about it is it's temporary! If you don't like it, peel it off and there is no trace it was ever there!

There are a few people that have dipped the entire car. Just google search plastidip car.

I recall one mustang I saw recently (S197 I believe) that took 25 cans at $6.00 a can, sooo, depends what you consider cheap.

Or could it be permanent? If it looked good...? Cslix would u ever consider that? I already heard the idea of stripes thrown out there. That could be a possibility for me too

Fonzie is king of Dip, with alot of instructional videos and shades of Dip that are hard to find without mail-order.

Well I dipped my pony grille. Now I've also washed my car twice and it holds up fine and looks great! Best 5 dollars I ever spent! In close second is the whopper I bought afterwards though... But I can now recommend plasti-dip! It is extremely hard to mess up. It looks professional on my car

Oh that is definitely cool. I might do it just to change things up a bit. I get bored with things easily

I just dipped my rear deck lid. I think it looks pretty good. I had a little trouble when I removed the tape and wanting to peel. But nothing major, easy, cheap and reversible.
