Default FRPP Muffler Alignment

Hey all,

Just installed Ford Racing's V6 muffler on my 2006. Muffler sounds great, and was pretty easy to install. Only problem is, the muffler tip is touching the bottom of the bumper cover and has melted a bit of the plastic. How do I get it aligned so that it doesn't do that anymore? I followed the instructions very carefully, but obviously didn't do something correctly. Thanks for the help!

There's a good write up for aligning the tips in Taco Bills sticky for installing the FRPP Stingers but it's applicable to ANY S197 exhaust work. Basically, you loosen both the axle back and the mid-pipe clamps until you get the alignment you want. It's best to have a helping hand while 1 person holds the tip and the other makes adjustments from underneath. Too many people try bending mounts and really get things FUBAR.
