Default Oil Help

Bought 5 quarts of Royal Purple 5W-20 instead of 5W-30 on accident for my 4.0. it calls for 5W-30 but can i use the 5W-20 or do i need to get the 5W-30?

Thanks

I wouldn't run 5W20 on the 4.0L. And RP is ok, I guess, but I'm not fond of it personally.

Took it back and got the 5W-30, I hear alot of mixed reviews about AMSoil and as far as im concerned I would be either RP or AMSoil and ive always ran RP and been satisifed. I heared AMSoil is only good for ATVs and small engines.

IMO, Amsoil is a superior motor oil but I have no problem running Mobil1, Pennzoil or most any major brand full synthetic. What's most important is matching your oil/filter change frequencies to what oil you're using, driving style and environment plus using a quality oil filter. If you don't track, then changing a full synthetic at anything less than 8,000 miles is a waste of money.
