Default changing rear timing belt

I have no idea how to change the rear timing belt on this 06 mustang 4.0 v6.
Motor is out, but having issues on how to change it and re-installing motor, with out messing stuff up.
Any help would be appreciated.

First of all, there is no timing belts. Chains are used.
Use the ford service manual to see what is needed to properly but one of these together:

if your having problems with the motor acting up you may want to post what its doing.
going in blindly, especially when you think the engine has a belt and doesnt is gonna cause problems

Only on one side (rt I believe). The other side is in the front (left side). Each head has a camshaft, so each head has a chain. Look at your valve covers. You'll see the extra part of the valve cover.. That is where the chains run.

was it that difficult to get the 2nd chain upfront like the v8 has?

What a pain in the ***, luckily it really doesn't become an issue on these motors.

Actually, it can be a pretty common pain in the *** for these motors (4.0L). Its actually partially German engineered so that may explain some of the complications.

If there is one thing the 4.0L SOHC engine is common for, its for the timing chains breaking. Explorer's, Rangers, Mustangs...anything with the 4.0L. And when the rear timing chains break, you basically have to remove the engine to fix it so its a pain. An Explorer came into the shop I work at and I ended up just putting in a reman'd engine becasue of it and warranty and what not. Who knows....maybe my 4.0L mustang will be next *knocks on wood*

So what I am reading from this is to buy and build up a 4.6 or maybe 5.4 ready for when the 4.0 breaks...

We all love that idea but easier said than done when it comes to hook up all the electronics.
Then your rear axle and T5 will give up the ghost past the 300hp mark.
But if going V8, I say build a 5.4.
