Need new spark plug wires.
I'd like to get a new set of plug wires for my 4.0 (orig. factory still in at 75,000 mi), and I'm looking for same size/diameter wires so I can use factory wire looms. Same size but either blue or red. Any suggestions? And what is the MM size of my factory wires?

OK, thx for the info. That's what I'm looking for, factory size wires. 8MM is the size...now I need the color. If I'm going to replace them, I need a wow factor as well as solid performers.

I have not personally had experience with the aftermarket coils, but it seems that the general consensus is to stick with the oem motorcraft coil because the aftermarket ones tend to give problems much sooner down the road. By no means am I trying to persuade you, but just something you might want to search about more.

I bought my factory replacement plug wires, at NAPA Auto Parts, at 75K miles, just because. My local Ma Pa garage did the labor to replace for $25.00+ Tax.
New Motorcraft spark plugs were installed at 110K miles and local garage, where I have work done, told me there was no need to replace the coils. So, I didn't. Cost labor and parts: $80.00+ tax for spark plug replacement. Have 127K now.
