BBK CAI
I have another thread posted regarding my SCT3 tuning experience, which I installed a BBK CAI. However, I feel this information might be worth posting in it's own thread....
If you purchase a BBK cold air intake, do yourself a BIG favor - go buy a 4 dollar tube of black gasket seal. The crank return line with this CAI does NOT seal very good and I was apparently losing vaccum, which made my car run terrribly. I smeared this gasket seal around the nipple and the O-ring, and my car is running strong again, like when I first tuned my car with the original air cleaner. It looks like hell in my clean engine compartment, but for now a strong running car that does not surge, nor drop rpm's at every stoplight, is well worth it. I hope my gas mileage increases also, but some of my mpg drop *could* be the way I'm driving her, lol.
Hope it helps!
