2010 v6 driveshaft removal
Hello All,
So I am going to be putting in a 8.8 rear end with 3.55 gears in my car this week. is there any secrets and tricks to removing the driveshaft. I am just doing my research before I tackle this thing.

Pb-Blaster, 12 point 12mm socket, breaker bar.
-In neutral, rotate the DS until two bolts are on bottom.
-Set parking brake or put car in gear.
-Unfasten two bolts
-Release parking brake or put back in neutral
-Rotate DS 180*, set brake and unfasten remaining two bolts
-Once all bolts are out, hold DS in hand and with free hand give a couple of thwacks to the DS flange with rubber mallet and it pops right off.
Unbolting the DS is probably one of the easier parts of the install. I just did the rear end last week, along with UCA, LCA, and the larger rear sway from the GT. Pretty straight forward install just a bit of a wrestling match to get everything lined up.

I did it myself, a second set of hands would help, but it's manageable by yourself if you've got a rolling floor jack.
Probably the roughest aspect of the install is just the fact that everything on the rear is designed to move and pivot, so getting the all of the bolt holes lined up to get the bolts through mean shifting the rear around, which can be a pain.
My hardest bolt was the driver lower control arm to the rear probably wasted about an hour on that one bolt. I ended up using a using a huge crowbar to shift the rear back and a hammer to drive that bolt through the hole.
