Thumbs up Group Buy SuperSixMotors Cams 4.0 (05-10) V6 Mustang

I have put in an inquiry to SuperSixMotors about doing a group buy for cams for our 4.0 Mustangs. I think the sixes should get a good deal on Cams , thought I would start a list. Here are some of the requirements.
* Paypal verified account
* Your dedication to spreading the word

I know $1000 seems expensive, with 40 or plus buyers we can certainly work with the price. I want SuperSixMotors to make a good profit but i also would like to see a ton of members experience cams on a V6.

The more members the better. This will be widespread across every mustang forum. I will also be advertising on craigslist locally and you may as well do also. Just don't forget to link this topic in your ad.

Update #1 Supersix has responded and said they will do a group buy
Update #2 Supersix is contacting ford to get special pricing on cams direct from ford.

Remember this is all for the community I will strive to work out the best prices and best shipping !

Thank you all!

have they mentioned what the purchase price would be if they got a group buy? Also not sure if you will get a lot of takers as changing the cams in these motors are a pain in the *** as I am sure you are aware of.

The passenger side cam is mounted so that the chain is on the back side of the engine. Not lot of room to work with, unless you pull the engine.

This.

Plus, those are just regrinded factory cams. Not worth it IMO.

I wouldn't say they're not worth it. They might actually be worth installing.

i still have asked why is our engine anymore different than the v8 cam install there are tons of threads on here . on how to do it . look if i can install a brake booster on a mercedes without removing the master cylinder . how hard can a cam install be . obviously i would hire out the work to be properly done

Ivan it has nothing to do with the number of cylinders. With the timing chain on the back of the passenger side head it is very difficult to do. The 4.6 is easy and everything accessible. Not the case on the 4.0. You can't watch a video or read a swap on the 4.6 and apply that to the 4.0. Very different set up. The set up means you have LESS room to work with despite 2 fewer cylinders

The easiest way to swap on the 4.0 is pull the engine so you can get to the back of the passenger side head. I'm not sure it can be done with the engine in the car, at least not easily
