Default Advice LSD differential

Hi all!

I wanted to install on my V6 2005 mustang the 3.73 Ford Racing gears.
they have advised me to install a lsd differential.

What differential do you recommend?
I've seen this, how does it look?

Auburn Gear HP Series 7.5in 28 Spline Mustang Limited Slip Differential 542023 (79-85 V8; 86-10 V6) - Free Shipping

Thanks!!

It would be a lot better to just get a 8.8" rear with gears already installed and just swap the axle's. The new 8.8" is from FRPP (Ford racing) so it already has upgrades in it.

Ford no longer makes a locking differential for the 7.5 anymore so they are scarce - very few aftermarket options. It will take some searching to find anything. Make sure whatever you get is for the 31 spline axles and not the 28

You are correct, mental slip.

Make sure it is a 28 spline and not the 31 spline if you find a 7.5 carrier.

You know I was thinking about it again - and I think that I was right the first time. The older 7.5 was a 28 spline, but the 2005-10 V6 had a 31 spline axle I'm pretty sure that there are 2 different carriers because of that.

if u wanna save $$$ get a used one(7.5 posi) from ebay. I found two for nearly $200. 8.8 Rear ends are the way to go but you need $1300 plus installation costs unless u do it yourself. And there are junk yards. In fact im going to call one right now
