Wow, thank you! I would have noticed right off that it was different but you just took the mystery out of it. The oil should be in sometime within a few days. I'm due for an engine oil change, will do both at the same time. At least I have the tubing I need!

For me, it was easy. My driveway is on an incline so I put the front wheels on ramps making the car level. I removed the upper and lower plugs with a 3/8" socket to drain it, replaced the lower plug, then refilled it with a hand pump until it started to drain out the upper hole.

I just did this finally... last night. Worked like a champ. I put the car on 4 jacks, drained it with a 3/8 socket wrench (well, used a 3/8 breaker bar to loosen them), and filled it with the hose I bought ahead of time from your pics. I put in the Mobil 1 ATF.
I did, however, have a question - it says it takes 3.2 quarts.... I did not finish the 3rd quart when it started to run out of the plug hole. It is still on jacks and will take the plug off tonight to stick my finger into the hole to make sure it is full to the plug hole. I was expecting to use some of the 4th quart though.

Apologies for resurrecting an older thread, but just wanted to send a THANK YOU to everyone who replied. My car is shifting so much nicer, and the info in this thread was priceless. Thank you!
