Cool rattle at 70 MPH

Just heard this the other day, a rattle. It sounds like its coming from the engine compartment, but not sure. Its a random rattle not a synchronized tick, so I ruled out bad gas or detonation. But I only hear it going very(highway speed) fast 70 MPH+. Usually on cruise, but I'll hear it if I take cruise off too. I have a 2008 V6 bama 93 OCTANE race tune CAI 3.73 gears, Just put on AMR wheels with new tires too.

Since the sound is coming from the front end(I think), I am ruling out a tooth chipping off the gearing, whether its the ring, pinion, or spider, IDK. But I cant rule that out completely until I open the pumpkin up. So has anybody heard a somewhat faint rattle at highway speeds?

I also have a plastic black billet grill, that is pretty flimsy, So maybe its just vibrating on itself on the highway. I can move the plastic grill bars with my finger and touch another bar. Except this year is the first I have noticed the rattle and I have had the grill for 18 months. Hmmmmmmm
Any help?

Loose wheel splash shield would be my guess. Check all those plastic bits and pieces in the front end and wheel well and make sure they are snug. Broken retention clips can cause them to loosen up and rattle at speed.

Have you noticed any hood flutter up front above either headlight? The S197's are a tad notorious for that if the hood bump stops aren't properly adjusted. Just a possibility...

hmmmm, thanx for the input guys. No hood flutter that I can see, but the hood bump stops are at different levels so the hood sits a little lower on the drivers side and I tried adjusting the stop, it looks threaded, but it wont adjust. I'll check the wheel splash shields next. Doubtfull but worth a check. I am thinking its an exhaust leak on the manifold.....idk

*****THIS JUST IN*****

I figured out the rattle. Turns out its not a rattle at all. You know those strips of tar that are put on the highway? Every time I ran over one I heard a weird sound. This highway is an asphalt one so the cracks they tarred up are not every eight feet like those cement yellowish grey highways are. So, yeah. Call me a doofus
