This is the I got. Used two GT mufflers and cut the driver's side bumper. Very happy with it.

the mid muffler has a more aggressive sound. on the links for each system they have videos so you can listen to the difference. I have the Pypes mid muffler setup on my car.

It gives it the older mustang sound. Not sure on the v6 but I went midmount on my GT and love it. It's a totally different sound from my axle backs. The sound change comes from the longer tubes after the mufflers make it deeper. I'm currently running a dual in dual out flow master 40 mounted in the center. The kits are nice but for the money a custom setup is usually better/cheaper. It cost me about $300 to get custom xpipe back with the price of the muffler. I'd check some local muffle shops before buying just the kit. You may come out cheaper and you can pick what material they use. The only issue with mid mount is they tend to sag over time an exhaust shop can add hangers up front to support the weight of the system.

That sounds really good. I have an older Mustang, a 66 Fastback with dual exhaust.

That thing sounds awesome! I watched both part 1 and 2. That was a GT though, I'm looking for a 4.0 video now...

Yeah for the v6 id recommend a company called Flo-pro. They sound great on v6s lookup Flo-pro ranger kinneys muffler shop had a good video of it. I had two different models on my ranger with the same motor as your mustang. They are made to cancel the nasty sounds and my ranger idled like a v8 you only really heard the v6 rasp at high RPM.

This was my old setup. Gibson short tubes, stock cats, MAC prochamber, and pypes mid muffler setup. Currently I still run the mid muflers but no cats, long tubes, and Corsa Sport axle backs instead of the deletes
