I recently bought a 2007 4.0L V6. She's a beauty and a smooth ride. She seems a little slow at initial acceleration, though. And, there seems to be a slight lag from 3rd to 4th gear. Any ideas on how to improve this?

You'll want to get a hand held tuner and custom tune to give you the sport car feel your looking for. You can get just the tuner with a 'canned' generic tune but there is no comparison to the performance difference from a properly done custom tune. You can look for a good custom tuner in your local area or one of the experienced online tuner's like VMP or BAMA (through American Muscle), etc. The cost of the tuner and tunes will not be cheap, and there are a number of options to consider, but you will not regret the money spent as it is well worth the investment. The custom new tune will take the delay out of your pedal response, tighten up your shifts so you don't feel that lag between gear shifts, raise the shift points, as well as numerous other tweaks. Thanks Jim. I looked at the tuners and they look like a good solution. Guess I'll start saving my money. 😉
