Terrible Oil Leak (Upper Engine)
This 2007 Mustang leaks oil like crazy from somewhere on the upper L/H side. I rebuilt the engine recently and it runs great, passed smog but leaks oil like crazy. It is pooling in the upper valley. We just replaced the L/H valve cover which was cracked but it didn't fix it. We installed a new Ford one. Leaks as bad as ever. Anybody have any ideas? It is my understanding that the intake manifold has no oil in it so I am at a total loss. Am I missing something? It's hard to see the source with all the crap in the way. It's definitely engine oil. Any ideas?

I found the main oil leak, there may be others. I put floresant dye in the oil and viewed it at night with a UV purple light. Lit up beautifully and it turned out to be the L/H driver's side, chain tensioner. I didn't put in the thin soft metal seal. Put that in and torqued it to spec and it still leaks just as bad. What gives? Anybody else have trouble with leaks from the tensioner (s)?
