This is my easy 8 step method to removing that stubborn air silencer!
OK ive done this for those of us who dont want to afford the several hundred dollar CAI.
Tools needed: Flashlight(nightime), 6mm socket wrench(or pliers)
Time needed: 10 minutes tops.
Skill level: caveman
Step 1. find your airbox, its on the front left of your engine compartment.

Step 2. Carefully loosen the screw from its mounting bracket. Do not lose screw!!!

Step 3. Pull air box completely out of fender well so it sits on top of the fender well.

Step 4. Carefully pry off the rubber air silencer.(use a screwdriver or a key if you can't pull it with your fingers)

Step 5. take a nice look at how much bigger the opening now is for air to come in!

Step 6. carefully, place the air box back where it was originally.(making sure the mounting bracket is lined up)
Step 7. Screw it in nice and tight!

Step 8. Your done Enjoy!!!
