A quick FYI for us MODULAR guys...
Modular motors don't have lifters.
I've corrected this about 5 times in 2 weeks. Just thought I'd clear that up for everyone, so there isn't anymore misinformation passed around...

when you say lifters, you mean the ones for the cams in the heads right in other engines?

Make sure you always check out your push rods too. They can get damaged if raced.

yes no lifters, hence overhead cam. if you have a single cam like the old 351's yes you do but overhead cam's don't.

lifters are on the cams that push up the pushrod the turn the rockers that compress the spring that pushes open the valve.
mod motors have no lifters or pushrods.
