Do glasspacks last forerver? I put O/R X on my magnaflows and it sounds the same just louder. I recomend glasspacks becasue they sound better than my set up even with a stock mid pipe.

I just had 2 Flowmaster 40 Series installed this morning and they sound awesome. (always been a flow fan though) for the cat back with turn downs it ran me 220 installed.

Did you get the cat back, or just have mufflers welded in?

You want to be agressive and be under $100. Cut out the mufflers and replace them with glass packs and cut out the rear cat's and replace them with straight pipe. If you're really trying to save money then just band clamp um instead of welding. Theyll stay IF you do a REALLY good job and get it all in there nice and snug. Itll be a nice little kick in the pants of power but nothing to gawk over. Glass packs dont last forever btw but they last as long youll want them too. Eventually the packing burns up and it gets progressively louder but i love the sound of glass packs. Im thinking of cutting out my mac's and going back to glass packs just becuase it makes the stang sound so muscle car, but since i have long tubes and an o/r x pipe thatll probably be too loud.

Glass packs sound good on a stang. Not as good as a high dollar muffler but if you're looking for dirt cheap and a little more sound then go for it. Hell probably end up doing his whole exhaust later but this'll get him by just fine.

This will sound like complete and total ass, and if you pick up 2 WHP I would be simply shocked.

Magnaflow FTW. A little more expensive than flowmaster etc, but its worth it to skip the headaches on every highway trip.
