Default X or H and why

I've decided to let you guys make the call for me on this one. I currently have an o/r H-pipe, but I've been seriously considering taking it off for an o/r X. I've heard mixed reviews on both. For those who have the H, give me your $.02 on why I should keep it. I love the sound it makes, but I'm just curious about the X.

X-pipe owners!Why should I switch?

I will be ordering SLP LMs and I want a very aggressive sound.

Thanks[sm=feedback.gif]

X + SLP ftw.

x pipes generally sound better with a straight through muffler like SLP.

a good rule of thumb

x = more of a nascar sound
h = more of a classic muscle sound

my fav setup is my catted h with flowmaster 10's

I have an o/r x and flowmasters (40s) and I personally dont like it, I dont NOT like it,....but they came with the car and I'm broke lol. Everybody else loves my sound. From camaro guys to import guys...I think Im the ONLY one who doesnt absolutely love it.

stock headers, 2.5" o/r x pipe, flow 40s, 2.25" over axles and 3" outs...wish i had some way to record and post so I could get opinions

Lol what a tool.......

X= Exotic, More aggresive
H=Muscle rumble.. Tamer

I went through the same thing as you. I loved the tone of the H but it was just not enough for me. I love my X and will never consider an H again.

And honestly.... there is not a HUGE difference in sound between the two. It is noticable but to someone who doesnt know a whole lot about cars would not even be able to tell a difference.

X pipe is great without a chambered muffler.

H pipe sound good too.

I may not rumble quite as deep (still rumbles pretty good) at idle but you can't beat the WOT sound of an X.
