I'd check over my plugs and wires. If your plug gap is too large, replace them. Spec is .052 - .056 and optimal would be in the middle. If they're origanal wires you should replace them, too. Fuel filter should be replaced every 25,000 - 30,000 miles. Check your throttle body for carbon buildup. A sticky throttle body can lead to poor response time. And your PCV valve should be replaced with your fuel filter. Is your air filter dirty? Low on trans fluid?... You should check all of your usual stuff.

LOL, I'm pretty sure everyone has that. I know I do, and my fuel filter HAS been replaced and my injectors and TB have been cleaned. I know what you're talking about and appearantly it's just part of what these cars are. I'd like to think that a lightweight flywheel would help, but I'm not sure.

REEEEEEEALLY now?? I would love to get rid of that lag and I'm in the market for a tuner! Can you PM me with the exact one you got and if it'd work on my 97 GT? Also, could you tell me what you did to get rid of that lag?

this doesnt have anything to do w/ all the extra slack in the throttle line does it? theres a good 2-3 inches it seems of slack. oopen ur hood and pull the cable going towards ur peddal. look how much slacks there.
