TRADE MY Mach 1 HOOD + scoop set up for easy GT install (attached, no intake system necessary, unless you want it) for a COWL hood and maybe STOCK + CASH (but probably not). The hood is painted silver, in great shape, does need a color sand, but thats no biggie. Would prefer a swap for a silver one, but will consider many options. Need to trade due to changed plan on this car. RTP/Greensboro/Charlotte

You will need all of the timing parts and thetiming cover as well as the intake manifold and throttle cable. The throttle cable will be hard to find and the imrcs will not work unless you buy a lot of wiring. You MUST have the engine out of the car to do a 4v swap. You will most likely need the exhaust manifolds too.

98's came with b heads which i heard sucked compared to 01's and 03/04 are even better then 01's.

so unless you plan on porting them. look for 01's atleast (c heads)

no i plan on porting them so the difference should be negligable in that sense, i would like to know more about making them work, i know they will bolt on... but i need them to function also, does this require a new harness or what? bc i thought i could use the gT computer (reflashed) and i dont see how a throttle cable would be a big deal ... hell no engines come with that

The throttle cable was discontinued a long time ago. To make the Imrcs work you will need alot of wiring.( I am working on doing this for my 4v swap.)So far I have engine harness and ecu as well as the ecu to engine harness and there is at least one more sectionI still need to make them work as well as the gauge cluster. It would be less costly to just delete the imrcsbut the secondary air injection uses the same wires and I live in CA so I need that to work.

I am at a loss as to why it needs a new wiring setup? could you explain it to me?

C heads didn't show up until 03. 99 and 01 heads are identical.
