I got my new bracket from the salvage yard. $ = Free.

Now that's smart thinking.

The only thing is though, I'm more of a "new" kind of guy.. I don't trust moving parts from a salvage yard.

It's such a shame that there are no decent salvage yards around here!! All the stangs around here are picked apart to the frame.

I need a new headlight knob and stock gauge cluster!! >=(

That used free part looked better than my other good one. It basically bought me lunch that day, who's better off now!

Lol okay okay.. So I paid 20 bucks for a bracket while you ate your grinder.. =P

Did you paint the bracket black or just leave it? I painted both of mine.. looks nice with the red caliper.

I did sweat pretty good, lol. But yes I did paint it. I even took my calipers to the belt sander...although, I can't say it did much good.

Well, sanding it is very good, as long as you cover up the pistons and everything.

I made the dumb mistake of painting a caliper fresh out of the box of my last mustang.. It looked like a bright red shirt with cotton pilling all over it.. lmao. Each time I painted a caliper after that I sanded them smooth every time and applied like 2-3 coats of paint! lol

when this happened to me i took a peice of all thread (long threaded rod) and screwed it in the hole then put a peice of tubing over this then a washer and nut. then i used a little heat and some muscle and pulled it out that way

yes it may have helped that i have a machine shop right next door
