Default New 78mm BBK Throttle body review

After my trip to jegs the other day. I came home with the new 78mm bbk throttle body. When I first saw it I was impressived by the size of the thing. The instructions were easy to follow and the part is high quality. Everything come off easy, and the new throttle body installed easy. Then it was time to hook back up the electrical connections and throttle linkage, all pretty much striaght forward. Next I had to connect the intake to the throttle body. I dont know how it would be with a stock intake, but the procharger elbow was a super tight fit. I had to have a friend help me get the intake elbow over the massive throttle body. The elbow is a 3inch rubber hose that come with my procharger kit. So it isnt little. I had to lube up to throttle body and use a very small screw driver to pry the tubing over the throttle body carefully. We didnt even scratch it so it was a success. Install take a little over an hour. Then it was time to warm up the Stang and go for a test drive. I have to say just the sound it makes is worth the money spent. The gain is throttle response is nice to. I dont know what kind of HP gain I made but there is a difference for sure. I would recommend this product to anyone wanting a new mod for xmas. I will post some pictures soon of what everything looks like. Unfortantly I didnt take pcitures along the way.

I would be freakin broke!!!!

Thanks for the report though, I know that a lot of us were interested in this mod.

Congrats on the new toy!!!

Would 78mm be too much for N/A and why???

Those things are extremely cheap, That as a whole is cheaper than just a tbody or plenum seperately

Yea that was the main reason I went with, I mean $249 for a throttle body and plenum plus its bigger then a 75mm. And no gasket to worry about between the two. I live about an hour away from two jegs stores, plus the warehouse is in columbus too. Which means I can save the gas and have it the next day. Yea I get that kid in a candy store feeling just walking in there and seeing all that shiney chrome and ford parts. Its enough to chub up a little bit. lol. About the pictures is been f*ing raining all day, but I will get out there before dark.

Pictures are attached at the top. And the sound its literattly like air being sucked in at high speed. Kinda hard to explain. Maybe like a light whistle. Thats not the best explanation, but you know what I mean. I should put a video on youtube of my car screaming down the road. I have wanted to forever now.
