well maybe i'll just have to do some hard looking then. so the cobras can handle boost huh? 'cause i've heard GTs are good for no more than 10#, and even then it may be teetering on the edge. and as far as n2o goes, yeah i know it's a cheaper quicker way to get some real speed. problem being, i just know that once i crack that bottle open i will get addicted and waste way more nitrous than is safe or reasonable lol. at least with boost i don't have to go get a bottle filled every week or so. i've heard from some other nitrous users that bottles can go fast, depending on how froggy you're feeling. and that's if i could find a place to fill one. the nitrous place i know of is 40 miles away from me!

oh by the way,

THERE'S a car for 10 grand. just don't know if i wanna pull the trigger on it or not. i think i know what you're gonna say about that one lol.

Good luck on whatever you decide but I think this is the first case of someone wanting to get rid of their LS1 for a 2V GT.

i figure that if i could sell my est. ~310hp car and make a 400hp GT for the amount i sell it for or less, that's free speed. maybe i'm just crazy. not to mention that mustangs actually have rearends that will handle more than V6 power...

That sounds like decent logic to me. The only thing is the rear ends in new edge GTs aren't that awesome. I'm not sure, but if you are around 400whp and launch the car on sticky tires you might be in trouble with the stock 28 spline rear.

(Hopefully someone who knows more will chime in)

Yea with 400 hp you'll probably want to upgrade to 31 spline axlles and posi altohuhg if its just a street car and wont do alot of hard launches with stickies tires you can put it at #10 on your to do list lol

What??? Rear end arent that great? You find a stock rear end that can hold 400 rwhp on slicks! Problem is that the axles go. Change those and its a day. BTW i see your logic and yes it sounds reasonable to me. Sell you car have at least 2-3K left after you buy the GT and boom cheap speed. You can buy my car so i can get to my next project . C5 ZO6 with a 427 cu. in.

Yea I meant to say that the stock axles probably wouldn't hold..
