lol my friend had hood pins AND a cowl hood, well the reason for the pins was he was having trouble with the latch not catching, a little safety measure.

One day he was showing someone his shiny new CAI, got a call to meet up with someone forgot to put the hoodpins in, (still in his pocket) We were probably doing 45 or so when the hood flies up smashes the windsheild once (me riding shotgun) and breaks. About a 1.5 foot chunk of hood was still attachec to the hindge while most of it flew and bounced in front of a car then tumbled off the side of the road, didn't hit anyone else.

****s rough.

oh and a few months back, i was changing my windsheild wipers in the driveway when mom came home, i had just taken em both off and just got the drivers one on and put it down as my mom came up to my car, she did me the favor of pushing the passenger one down, which was bare with no windsheild wiper, those things are pretty heavy, left a nice penny size crack in my windsheild and it cracked more under vibration when i was driving, its all good tho, they said they'd buy me a new windsheild.

i should have the car back friday, they said the HOfibertrends hood lined up nice.

on a side note
they said they have to charge me $100 to block and prime the new hood because the gelcoat has a bunch of pinholes in it and the paint might not cover them up.

my question is, wouldnt the factory fiberglass hood be the same?

depends on the quality control of the factory. fiberglass is normally a little wavy so its not gonna hurt anything.

are they blending into the front fenders? because they should be.
