Default what happens when your hood meets your windshield

well yesterday i was lookin under the hood and i put the hood down and didnt latch the hood....

today i decided to go to the bak rear quick while it wasnt snowy and the roads were nice, 100ft down the road the hood flew up

the hood cracked and bent to the contour of my roof, so i will be getting a new one. im think a HO fibertrends 2.5in cowl hood
and there are 3 dents in my roof from the hood

needless to say, jack danels is helping me cope with my stupidity.....

i think the hinge was bent also, the hood now sits 1/4in below the fender

can someone check for me, is the dirvers side wiper supposed to be this close to the windsheld? the passenger side has a pretty good gap. i would like to know so i could tell the ins adjuster

im an idiot

Sorry to hear (and see) that. Get the 3 inch hood. Post pics when you get it.

Your damn right it did
Have you tried to pop the dents in your top? I'd think something that you could just push up on.

Man I know how stupid you feel. I did the exact same thing, except I didn't do as much damage to the roof.

I bet you won't forget to latch it down next time! lol
