Default Borla Stingers over 95dB?

Ok basically I've never been pulled over before. Last night at like 11:30pm I was driving home from picking up a few sandwiches from Subway and I was doing like 30mph and this cop was ahead of me in the next lane. I usually never pass cops but figured I could not be doing anything wrong especially since he was going like 25mph. I pass him and I noticed he goes behind me and then after I while I realized that he was gonna pull me over so I turned into a parking lot (I was going to anyway to buy something) and stopped for him. Sure enough he lit me up and said he was pulling me over for my exhaust.

He wrote me a fix-it ticket for my exhaust and I know it's because the month is almost out and he needs to meet his quota. I have my stock H pipe for special occasions like this but I don't have my stock catback.

I plan on putting the stock H back on and going in to get the ****ing ticket signed off but I was wondering if any of you guys know how likely my exhaust will be over 95dB? Is there anything else I can stick into the exhaust pipe to make it quieter? I heard I can put in some rubber tubing. It will be retarded but I'll only be doing it when I get it signed off.

Thanks,
Brandon

From what I can remember, Borla's were the quiettest mufflers available, rated at 83db. IDK if that's on the stock midpipe, or O/R. But they should be pretty quiet

if it's stock then it's a catted H pipe^

it shouldn't be 95db at 30mph. Hell, it wouldn't be 95db at 50mph.

First off, very few departments have quotas. Second, isn't any kind of aftermarket exhaust considered illegal in CA?

Thanks I was actually looking for that db listing. It doesn't seem to have the stingers on it but judging by how MAC is on it and puts out 98db at 2000rpm i'm pretty sure my stingers will go over that. I wonder if those db ratings are with the stock H.

I can put my stock H back on but I think I need to find something to wedge into my stingers....what do you guys think work best? I'll just put it on right after I park it so I can put on something very restrictive and all they will probably do at most is just rev the car up a bit and then sign it off.

Thanks,
Brandon
