Installing a windage tray is a PITA, just not worth the hassle

It keeps the oil from splashing on the crank. It will yield you about 10-15 hp above 6000 rpms. I am not going with one as well. If it was truly benefitical you would see them on all cars from the factory. I don't think it is worth the trouble.

So they claim, but doubtful. As I said before modular cranks sit high enough that windage is not much of a factor

I think I will skip it too. I am going with the same oil pump/pickup as you. IIRC we have to put a 2 mm washer in place where the tray would meet up against the pickup or something. (It was in the instructions online)

Jvog - ya I got my oil pump the other day. I am just waiting for UPS guy for MRT Catted H pipe, Sniper Commando Software, MMR solid motor amounts. The only thing I have left is the forged rotating assembly hoping in June and build to be completed in July

i dont have all of my money left for my shortblock yet so I told the builder to take his time assembling. Hopefully I'll have it in two weeks.
