Default Windage tray with Teksid block

I was planning on using the Ford Racing windage tray with my teksid shortblock, but Lethal Performance said that the main studs on the teksid will need to be changed for the windage tray to fit properly. Seeing as my shortblock is already being built, does anyone have any more info on this? Is there a windage tray made just for the teksids?

Ask them about the canton windage tray. Mine clears my arp main studs, its a cast block though. Lethal should know I would think.

I don't plan on reving my motor to the moon, 6500 rpms maybe a bit higher. I think I will hold out on the tray because my motor is already being built so I can't change the main studs.

The Ford tray mounts to the main studs, I don't have the model #'s in front of me but ARP makes a set that works with the FRPP and stock 4V trays.

Get yourself a canton tray its like $70 and solves your problem.

Don't really need a windage tray as our cranks sit high enough

That's like double the cost of the ford one which is why I was trying to avoid it. I was told that the pickup tube will need to be modified to fit with the canton tray.

If you've got the stock pickup it won't. If your using a cobra or h/v pump with the 15/16ths pickup then all you have to do is cut the makeshift crankscraper off the pickup, took like 5 minutes max on mine.

Oh ok. I'll be using the Ford high volume pump and pickup so I'll need to cut it off..

If its the 15/16ths tube and you use the canton tray you will. I think the ford tray is cut out to clear.
