New to the forums and really need help with my mustang.
I have a 1997 V8 GT mustang. It's not the super charged one. Just the normal V8.
I just had the rear axles replace and rear wheel bearings. I did the strouts and shocks last year. And I've kept my car working good. This last winter (after all the work) the rear end has been making a popping noise. But not all the time! Only when it's cold, It seems like. I had the work done at a les schwab tire center. And they say the rear end and U joint is fine.
I just had the rear fluid changed, and the right addative is in it. I also have the tranny fluid done. And my car is in great shape. It's only got 120k miles on it, And I've drove it like grandma would drive her car.
Can anyone tell me what is up?
It doesn't pop all the time. And sometimes it wount pop for weeks. But it seems to do it on cold nights and if it pops, it dose a lot. I only pops when down shifting to 2nd to slow down, or to get going from first right after letting out the clutch.
the thing that is getting me is I've had it checked three times and they say it is ok. But a popping noise from the back isn't ok. All the places couldn't get it to pop. And I can't always too. But some days it starts and keeps popping. But than it'll just go away and I wount hear it.
Can i Please get some advice.
I know my back breaks need changed here soon. And my throat out bearing in the clutch is making noises ( I've got a new clutch ready to change it ) And sometimes I randomly hear the back right wheel area groan when it's wet out. They can't find that noise too. Help please.
