cool, thanks for the clarification. i was always curious about maf voltage, i didn't want to have to drop $400+ for something like a DBX digital meter unless it was necessary. i guess i'll see how everything's running once the new maf is on there and i may consider going this route (with the MAFia) if necessary. thanks for the input.

Correct, but as you stated first "get a bigger housing" not gonna do a thing

I said get a bigger housing "if you were worried about airflow". I'll try and dig up the exact number, but from what I remember reading, a 90mm housing becomes a restriction at around 700 HP...due to just CFM requirements.

yeah this is where i got confused.. i kept hearing/reading that the 90mm Lightning maf is only good to about 450 hp, and i assumed this was due to airflow restriction but i'm guessing that it actually has to do with the voltage now. it's not likely that i'll exceed 450 rwhp anytime soon, so this will work for now. i have the new maf, just need to find time to put it on (probably this weekend).

UPDATE:

got the new 90mm lightning maf on the car this afternoon and the car runs perfect at idle and part throttle. no more rich a/f readings, no more choppy idle, although i'm going to take it in to get re-tuned before i go full throttle.. i'm driving it real easy for now.

my biggest surprise... the MAF that i just pulled off the car is not the 90mm MAF that i gave the shop when they did my s/c install!!! i compared the one i just pulled off to the 90mm that i put on, and i'm pretty sure they put a stock Mustang MAF on my car.. no wonder it was running like crap. it looks like it's maybe 80mm at most, although i haven't measured it (what's the stock size?). not only that, but the one i gave them had markings from a yellow paint-pen, and the one i just took off has no markings at all. maybe it was an honest mistake, but i'm just glad it's back to running like normal again.

Ya, I found out what my problem was too, two of the wires from a rear o2 sensor were cut into. No doubt from my car scrubbing the driveway and the potholes all in it. The plug was all scrapped up like it was racked across the ground, so thats my guess.
