Take 10 minutes of your day and pull the plugs. They will tell you alot.
Those things arent easy to pull...lol
theres so much **** blocking access to them
That and Ive heard too many horror stories about them popping out or stripping the threads.
I dont have a torque wrench to torque them to 13 ft lb or whatever they need to be at so I dont know if I even want to touch them without a torque wrench

You have an 03 engine that has the extra threads. Pull them. I have never used a torque wrench while installing plugs and never once had a problem. 13ft lbs is just past hand tight.
I doubt you have anywhere near as much crap in the way of pulling your plugs as I do and it only takes 30min for me to change my plugs.
I am willing to bet that when you pull them you will have a couple that are destroyed.

Ok, thanks
Do you know what size I need for the plugs?
5/8 deep socket?
I changed the fuel filter, thats not it.
Im assuming its something in the ignition fuel system.
Could it be the coil packs?

If you have COP's I would check those too.
But if im correct your year doesnt have them.
How about the coil pack or spark plug wires.
really sound like a misfire or fuel problem to me.
Good Luck and hope you fix your stang

It sounds like a misfire to me. If the plugs are good then you need to look into the wires. If the packs go bad the computer will usually throw a code.
