I'm not going to do any road racing, I'm doing it for looks. I still want to have that "ride on rails" feel when I turn a corner, but do not want to spend hundreds or thousands on it to do that (yet).

My old 93 Probe GT had Pro Kits and took it to a shop and had them heat the springs. Lowered 2.5 inches, and talk about riding on rails! That shop is no longer in business though CXI Racing.

I dont know why people dont just go with coil overs...theres about a million advantages

you will drop weight, you will be able to adjust your right height as you please, handle better, and will ride like stock

After spending money on shocks and springs, and the cc plates, coing with a set of coil overs, and cc plates isnt much more money if any depending on what you buy.

I know im pissed I didnt go with coil overs

Eibach is crap......the spring rates are stupid soft and handling will not improve. I wasted $500 on Sportlines and the Prokit before I did my homework.

H&R....SS for a nice, low stance. Race for medium stance and better handling.

i agree that coilovers would be the way to go, but they are a bit pricey for the average DD, which is what a majority of the cars on this board are.

Can I get away with sportlines without using CC plates if I get an alignment done?

Please forgive the idiotic question, but what benefit does CC plates offer? How long can I get away without using CC plates and new shock/struts while putting on the Sportlines?
How hard are they to install?

Stang has 83K babied miles and BRAND NEW tires just put on (hence why I am going to get an alignment after I get the springs, one stop shop)

(edit) Yes, money is an issue. I wanna get the best bang for my buck.
Thanks,
Phil
Good idea

VERY bad idea

Your suspension geometry is just not set-up to do you any good at such a hight Stick with NO MORE than 1.75" MAX!!!! on your ride running a stock "K".

I am about 2" drop on CO's all around with supreme suspension mods and would not even sniff anything lower. Not only because handling will get worse, but staring at less than 2" of clearance on the entire underside of my ride as it is. You may think it will look better and to some it may. To me, it looks like crappola and will ride even worse, sorry

Jazzer... bringin' it hardcore

I'm having the same argument with myself...I know once I get new rims I am going to have to do something. I am just afraid I am going to buy the pro-kit or Steeda springs and I am going to look at my car and say...hmmm...thats looks almost the same as stock. Stock ride height FTL..
