Yea I went and ordered them (I think) today. The diagram wasn't all that clear, and I believe they called them like locator pins or something. Now do you have any comments in regards to my question about me not needing the tensioner arms too? I just figured these dowels would be a different diameter, thus forcing me to buy new arms too.
Arms are all the same from Ford now for the 2V. I use the Explorer spec whenever I order these parts no matter the year or Windsor or Romeo. As long as the plastic is still good then use em. Usually the curved guides wear out long before the straight ones.

I was actually told by someone who just did this that they needed to get the arms from the 96-98 cobra/01-03 explorer because the dowel was a different diameter, thus leaving play in the tensioner arm....hmmm
Uh 4V and 2V arms are different with different dowels. The Explorer dowels fit the 2V arms because the Explorer is an aluminum block 2V (only one Ford made)
Thanks, I actually ordered the dowels the other day and I remember the part number being 6k282. You say that the 2v and 4v arms are different with different dowels? I had them look up the ones for a 96-98 cobra and the 01-03 explorer and the dowel was the same part number, which would make the arm the same too...Interesting
